Best Minimalist Combat Boots For This Fall & Winter 2024

Best Combat Boots

Year after year, you can’t go wrong with a pair of combat boots. Combat boots haven’t gone out of style, and I don’t think they ever will. It’s a perfect staple for a capsule wardrobe. If you find the right pair, you can wear it with nearly any outfit at any given season. Pair it with a skirt, a dress, skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, or even shorts! Also, since COVID-19, companies have made their office attire much more casual. That means pairing combat boots with a blazer works.

Running around the streets of NYC with Gatsby, a heeled boot will not work for me. I’m sure if you have a big dog that pulls, you get it. I need rugged soles that have enough traction for wet or icy surfaces. The best combat boots can be just as chic as a heeled boot.

Whether you’re planning to splurge on a designer pair that will last you a lifetime or looking for inexpensive, durable ones for right now, check out my picks for the best combat boots below.

Stuart Weitzman Mila Lift Bootie

These boots are my absolute favorite. I decided to purchase these because of their outstanding quality. If you’ve read about my review for the Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of the brand. I’ve worn their Mila Lift Bootie around the city, and they are comfortable, lightweight, and sleek. I didn’t even have to break them in! I’m a size 8.5, and these fit true to size. The hardware on the boots is gold, which is classic and can be dressed up with a nice blazer for a night out.

Reformation Katya Boot

I’ve known Reformation for their brand focus on sustainability from purchasing their dresses, but I didn’t realize until recently that they came out with a combat boot! It’s a classic lace-up with waxed cotton laces and a recycled rubber lug outsole. The shaft is a bit higher than a fit of an ankle combat boot.

Thursday Boots Combat

Thursday Boots are known for their high-quality handcrafted boots. My husband owns a pair of Thursday Boots for work, and he’s had them for four years already. They still look great! An affordable option with good quality, this boot has a very minimalist, edgy, and rugged look. If you’re not into combat boots with gold or silver hardware, this is the best combat boot for you.

Madewell Rayna Lace-Up Boot

Another affordable option, this combat boot has a slim-fitting shaft that will look flattering with skirts and dresses. It also has a fabricated lining with Madewell’s Cloudlift Lite padding which feels like walking on a cloud.
