Best Toys for Your Siberian Husky

best toys for siberian husky

Siberian Huskies are a tough breed! They get bored easily and are tough chewers. When Gatsby was just a little pup, we’ve gone through so many toys. Some are still here today because they were durable enough to last and some were just totally destroyed within a few minutes. I’ve curated a list of the best toys for your Siberian Husky to help you save money by recommending toys that are durable and great for mental stimulation.

  1. Nylabone Flavored Durable Dog Chew Toy – This tough and durable chew keeps power chewer busy. It even has raised bristles that help clean teeth and control plaque and tartar. We got Gatsby a small when he was a puppy.

  1. Benebone Wishbone – This lasted for a pretty long time. I like the way it’s shaped which is curved for a paw-friendly grip. Another plus, it’s made in the USA!

  1. Snufflemat – This mat is great for mental stimulation because it puts your dog’s nose and brain to work! Hide small treats all over the mat and let your dog forage his treats. It has an anti-slip backing to keep the mat in place. It’s machine washable and made with eco-friendly material. When Gatsby was a puppy, he went straight to napping after playing with this. If you tire the brain, you tire the body.

  1. Zippy Paws Hide and Seek Toy – This is one of Gatsby’s favorite toys! He loves digging the cookies out of the milk carton. Aside from the adorable cookies, I always stuff a few treats in here too.

  1. Kong Bear – Gatsby has two of these bears and played with them all time. Although they may have lost an ear or two by now, they are still pretty much intact. I like these bears because they’re minimally stuffed with just a knotted rope.

  1. Food Puzzle Feeder Toy – If you want to keep your pup busy then you must get this toy! It’s great for puppy brain development. If your dog is now a senior, this toy helps to keep their mind sharp. Since I don’t feed Gatsby kibble, I use Vital Essentials Mini Nibs.

  1. Wobble Wag Giggle Ball – Gatsby played with this so much when he was a little pup. Every time we rolled kicked it around, it made these giggly sounds and Gatsby would just tilt his head trying to figure out what it is!

  1. Interactive Puzzle Game Toy – Put a few treats in here and let your pup use his nose and brain to get the treat. We have a few of these and let Gatsby played with the advanced version when he was a little pup. He got so frustrated and tired that he went straight to take a nap.

  1. Tuffy Ring Toy – I played tug of war with Gatsby when he had his sharp baby teeth! This ring survived and I still have it today!

  1. MIGHTY NO Stuff Bone Squeaky Toy – I don’t know why but Gatsby played with this for long periods of time. He would carry it around the apartment, throw it around, and then pounce on it. I guess he likes the squeaky sounds!

Remember to ALWAYS keep an eye on your pup while they are playing with their toys. No toy is 100% indestructible!
