Lake Placid Lodge is one my favorite dog-friendly getaways from New York City, tucked away in the Adirondack Mountains. Although it’s about a 6-hour drive from New York City, I promise you that your stay will be worth it! I love visiting during winter so my pup Gatsby can play in the snow all day! Dogs are allowed in luxurious cabins, and a pet fee of $100 per night per dog, with a maximum of two dogs per cabin.

Lake Placid Lodge is part of the Opal Collection, a group of luxury hotels and resorts located in various destinations across the United States. Opal Collection properties are known for their upscale accommodations, fine dining, spa services, and a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences!

Dog-Friendly Spa Resorts for Couples

Finding dog-friendly spa resorts can be more challenging to find because most wellness spots aim for peace and quiet. But no worries, there are still some places in the United States that welcome energetic dogs alongside relaxation-seeking couples.

Wildflower Farms, NY – Auberge Resorts Collection

Wildflower Farm in Hudson Valley is for you if you’re looking for modern, ultra-luxury, and to be secluded in nature by the Shawangunk Mountains. You’ve got miles of trails for hiking and biking, and you can also join guided treks, strap on some snowshoes for cool expeditions, get artsy with flower-arranging classes, and even shake things up with cocktail-making courses.

There is a $150 one-time pet fee, and dogs are welcome at half of the new suites with private courtyard gardens. Your pup will be provided with dog beds, towels, and treats.

Chateau Elan, Georgia

In the beautiful hills of Georgia, there’s a special place that mixes relaxation with fun. This romantic resort gives you a break from busy life in its world-class spa.

And guess what? There’s a working winery right there, too! You can stroll through the vineyards and taste delicious wines. It’s a place where you can feel calm, enjoy nature, and have a romantic escape all at once!

Chateau Elan is also popular for weddings and big events because it’s so pretty. It’s surrounded by beautiful scenery and has a unique European-style look. It’s a place where you can have fun, enjoy great food, and feel fancy all at the same time!

Dog are welcome to stay with you at the Inn or in the Villas, but there are some important rules to follow. Unfortunately, pets can’t go to places like the Spa, Winery, pool, or where there’s food and drinks. When your pet is out and about, they should be on a leash or in a carrier and watched all the time. There’s an extra $150 cleaning fee for each pet per stay. You can bring a maximum of two pets per room, but they can’t weigh more than 50 lbs. each. And don’t forget to bring proof that your pets have had all their shots when you check in.

Dog-Friendly All-Inclusive Resorts For Couples

When it comes to weddings or honeymoons, all-inclusive resorts are a popular choice for several good reasons. They’re convenient for guests and often simplify wedding planning. Here are a couple of the all-inclusive resorts for a dog-friendly romantic getaway.

The Lake Austin All-Inclusive Spa Resort, Texas

This resort looks like it’s straight out of a Caribbean paradise and is dog-friendly too! It offers a special chef’s menu designed specifically for dogs. Plus, there are plenty of nearby walking trails for you and your furry friend to explore. The resort covers most things in its all-inclusive package except alcoholic drinks.

TradeWinds Island Grand Resort, Florida

This resort offers spacious rooms and access to a stunning white-sand beach. But what’s great for your furry pal is they have designated doggy play areas, the “Paw Court Bistro,” and even hammocks for dogs on the beach. It’s a fantastic spot where both you and your dog can have a blast during your stay!
